For the past several years, I have done graphic design work in my spare time. Most of the work I do is for people I know or organizations that I belong to or volunteer with. I am currently the Communications Coordinator for printmaking collective, Print London, and create a lot of print and web adverts as part of that role.
I got involved in theatrical work a number of years ago when my kids were in elementary school. I have made costumes and headpieces, props, and designed and painted sets for performances that were constrained by very tight budgets. This album contains some of the work that I have done for those productions, as well as some photo shoots that I have participated in.

My bookseller friends did a Krampus themed photoshoot one year and invited their customers to attend. I created Krampus' costume and the backdrop.
Premade hat that I embellished in a steampunk theme.
I made this Shrek costume, including the headpiece. I also did Shrek's makeup and painted the backdrop.
I made this Ursula costume by adding tentacles to a second hand dress. The headpiece is made from 1" upholstery foam cut to shape and painted.
Drag king makeup from a Hallowe'en costume. The facial hair is human hair cut to small pieces and applied with spirit gum.

I made this old timey microphone using cardboard, tinfoil, some old springs and the base of a birdcage.
Backdrop painted on canvas. This piece had a second backdrop painted on the back and was reversed between scenes.
I made this boat using stained and painted canvas and the mast using a a heavy duty cardboard tube and braided rope.
This was an existing prop that I reshaped and painted and embellished with rope. It used to be pink and very curvy.
These cardboard panels were reused year after year (very low budget). I painted this swamp scene for a production of Shrek Jr.
Here are the cardboard panels again, which I painted with a beach scene for The Little Mermaid production.
